Shanghai, June 3, 2026 – Against a backdrop of evolving geopolitical dynamics and companies increasingly diversifying sourcing strategies across Asia Pacific, R+T Asia 2026 once again confirmed its role as a key platform connecting global demand with the region’s manufacturing capabilities and innovation in the sun shading, door/gate, and automation sectors.

Held in Shanghai, the 2026 edition exceeded last year’s record-breaking results, welcoming a total of 56,029 visitors, including 15,801 international buyers and professionals from 118 countries, up from 115 in 2025. The strong turnout reflected the industry’s continued confidence in the Asian market and reinforced R+T Asia’s strategic importance within the global supply chain.

Looking ahead, the R+T brand is set to further reinforce its international footprint with the debut of R+T Southeast Asia 2026, scheduled for 11–13 November 2026 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in Bangkok. Together with the annual R+T Asia exhibition in Shanghai, the new show will broaden the brand’s presence throughout Southeast Asia while opening additional pathways for regional business development and industry collaboration.

Exhibitor Confidence Reaches Record Levels

The strong market response was equally reflected in exhibitor satisfaction and future commitment to the show. The 2026 edition achieved an outstanding re-booking rate of 88%, reaching a historical high and confirming exhibitors’ confidence in the strategic value of R+T Asia for business development across the APAC region and beyond. Leading international and domestic brands once again used the platform to strengthen partnerships, expand market presence, and gain insight into rapidly evolving customer demands.

The 2026 edition gathered more than 100 members from North and South America, Europe, South and Southeast Asia, and Oceania, who participated in guided sourcing tours and benefited from an enhanced hospitality programme designed to maximize networking and business efficiency during the show. Among others, the hospitality programme welcomed international delegations from long-standing partner ACMI, the Italian industry association for automatic door manufacturers, as well as a Singaporean delegation organized by Business Review Journal. For the first time, the show was also visited by an organized delegation of import/export traders from Southeast Asia based in China.

At the domestic level, R+T Asia hosted 10 professional buyer delegations composed of distributors and home decoration retail chains from Hangzhou, Jiaxing, Changzhou, Shaoxing, and Taicang, further reinforcing the exhibition’s role as a key sourcing and business platform for both international and Chinese markets.

Pergolas, awnings, and integrated outdoor systems attracted strong attention as consumers and project developers increasingly prioritize comfort, sustainability, and multifunctional outdoor spaces.
