R+T Asia 2020 expects to set a new record

 

Organizers for R+T Asia in Shanghai expect the trade show to set new records for exhibitors and exhibit space. In terms of exhibit space sold, the show is already 19% ahead of last year’s bookings.

 

The 2019 edition of R+T Asia was the largest ever, attracting a record number of visitors from 103countries and over 640 exhibitors. The 16th edition, to be held at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre on Feb. 24-26, 2020, is expected to be even larger. At the 2019 show, 85% of bookable exhibition space for 2020 had already been sold. 


R+T Asia is considered one of the most important events of the year for companies in the window, sun protection system, and door/gate industry. The show has proven to be an ideal platform for companies that want to expand business in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Through networking initiatives, matchmaking programs, and educational events, R+T Asia accelerates dialogue between buyers and suppliers.

 

More products, more product categories

 

For most visitors, the primary benefit of R+T Asia is the hundreds of exhibits of high-end products that combine innovative design with smart and sustainable solutions, which are increasingly demanded by Asian consumers. In addition, R+T Asia is adding more product categories to meet visitor expectations.


At the 2020 show, the new co-located HD+ Asia show in Hall E1 will feature three product categories: Soft Decoration, Future Living, and Outdoor Furniture. Consequently, visitors will learn the latest Chinese trends in decorative cloth products for walls, curtains, and smart homes, as well as the latest outdoor furniture, furniture fabrics and materials, and outdoor-living solutions.

 

At the same time, at the Materia District co-show, professional vistors will see new and innovative materials presented by design experts and research & development professionals. The aim of this special showcasing area is to match consumer needs with manufacturer solutions, displaying creative and sustainable material products.

 

International appeal


The international area in Hall E7 is growing rapidly, attracting many overseas brands that want expand their position in the APAC region. “For us, R+T Asia helps us understand the Asian market, just as R+T Stuttgart helps us understand the European market,” said Ricardo Giner, general manager of Gaviota Italia. “R+T Asia gives us excellent access to key architects and designers in this market.”

 

Overseas exhibitors like DongWon Industry, Vertilux, Winplus, Forest Group, Teh Yor, Hansoltex, Nakyung, Wintec Korea, Macco, Bestex, Ateja, Standard Business Development, S.A. Recasens, Kirayteks Tekstil, Alkenz, Hansol IMB, Winaissance, Gerhard Geiger, Xera, Oba Perdesan, and many more have already have confirmed their attendance in 2020.

 

The space devoted to sun protection products continues to grow, as it is already 23% ahead of the 2019 show. Hall E2 will feature many drive & control systems, led by companies like Dooya, WISTAR, Raex, Bofu, SCVE, and many others. As always, the newest window coverings, blinds, and shades will be presented by 50+ companies, such as Huasheng, Dingfon, Kingten, Zhenfei, Shidian Blinds, and Pesum.


Hall E3 will showcase exterior sun protection systems, pergolas, awnings, and machinery. Exhibitors such as MYT, MSJ, Dulun, Yuejia, Sigate, Baolong, or Dongguan Ridong Ultrasonic Machinery will exhibit their newest products and technological achievements.


In Hall E4, visitors will find a wide range of window covering accessories. Currently, the larger exhibiting spaces have been booked by A-OK, Lianbang Window, Fugelin, Deshenglong, Hemei, and Hongding.


The remainder of the sun protection area will dominate Halls E5 and E6, where exhibitors like Xidamen, Lycky Elephant, Cozse Textile Technology, Xinjiyuan, Daai, Deyi, and Red Grape will display their design and technological innovations in window covering fabrics.

 

The exhibiting space for doors and gates has already increased by 39% over R+T Asia 2019. Visitors to the 2020 show will see the latest products and drive & control systems of companies as FastLink Door, Lushan Machinery Factory, Good Door Industrial, IDER Electronic Technology, Haiyu Electromechanical Technology, Feilong Door Industry, Xianfeng Machinery, Deper Door Control Technology, Dantes Technology, JOYTECH Electronics, and BMP Europe.


Education and networking

 

One of the pillars of the show is the extensive networking program that brings together visitors, exhibitors, industry associations, and the media. These initiatives include before-the-show and onsite programs like the Hosted Buyer program, which connects global buyers with Asian manufacturers and distributors; the InnovAction online system, which launches the most innovative products of the year; and InnovAction Hub –  the interactive platform where innovative international companies introduce their most innovative products to the Asian market.


One of the pre-show activities initiated by R+T Asia is the Business School workshops where important local distributors and retailers learn from industry leaders. This year the School’s main focus is marketing innovation in retail and brand awareness and management in distribution. The School’s first meeting took place on Sept. 26 in Quindao, one of the most important industrial distribution cities in all of China. During the meeting, Ma Jian Xing, an expert in marketing and distribution of home building materials, and companies like Dooya and Yuma, shared their knowledge and business expertise with over 100 attendees.

Another focus of the 2020 show is a closer look at smart hotel systems, co-working spaces, health infrastructures, and green warehouses in China. These onsite events will engage architects, designers, real estate developers, manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, import and export professionals, and market leaders in a common dialogue to share their experience and inspiring ideas.


In addition, R+T Asia 2020 will include educational events, such as the Smart Home Summit, Real Estate Forum, Soft Decoration and Design Summit, Hospital Architectural Art and Light Environment Forum, Warehouse Construction and Cold Chain Planning Seminar, Hotel Design Forum, EnOcean Smart Home and Building Conference, as well as the International Window and Door Summit (IWDS). Held in Halls E1 and E7, IWDS is a key educational event for the window, door/gate, and sun-protection system industries that attracts global industry experts and leaders who share the latest trends and discuss important topics about the market and technologies.


These content-rich events feature international speakers and industry experts who help attendees gain a better understanding of the Chinese market and global trends. The 2020 fair will also include Chinese and international media and host group delegations of industry associations.
