The global imperative for carbon neutrality is accelerating, placing the building sector – responsible for over 40% of global energy consumption – at the forefront of transformative change. Recognizing this critical juncture, the International Window and Door Summit (IWDS) 2025 will convene global experts to explore innovation towards sustainable futures in sun shading systems and doors/gates.

Global Policy Driving Low-Carbon Transition:

Across the world, governments are implementing ambitious policies to drive a low-carbon future for the built environment:

China: The nation's "Dual Carbon" goals mandate that all new buildings meet ultra-low energy consumption standards by 2030.

European Union: The revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) sets the standard for all new buildings to be zero-emission buildings by January 1, 2030, and for buildings owned or occupied by public authorities – by January 1, 2028.

United States: The Inflation Reduction Act offers homeowners tax credits for energy-efficient windows and doors. Complementing this, federal net-zero goals for federal buildings, state and local Building Performance Standards, and increasingly stringent model energy codes are driving broader energy efficiency and emissions reductions in the building sector.

In this dynamic global landscape, windows, doors, and sun shading systems stand as crucial elements of the building envelope for achieving energy efficiency and have become a central focus for industry-wide innovation.

IWDS 2025: Connecting Global Expertise for a Sustainable Future

To actively support the low-carbon evolution of the window, door, and sun shading industries, R+T Asia, the leading international trade fair for sun shading systems and doors/gates, proudly presents the International Window and Door Summit (IWDS). The upcoming edition will take place on May 27, 2025, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai Hongqiao).

Building on nine successful editions, the IWDS has consistently served as a platform to "gather global elites and share forward-looking global trends." In 2025, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of R+T Asia, IWDS will be significantly enhanced. We are honored to welcome dozens of influential domestic and international industry experts and leading company representatives. They will provide invaluable insights into policy interpretations, cutting-edge technological innovations, overseas market access standards, and prevailing global market trends.

Furthermore, the summit will culminate in the prestigious "Best of the Best 20th Anniversary Series Awards Ceremony," promising a landmark event celebrating excellence and innovation within the industry. Join us to be part of this pivotal dialogue shaping the sustainable future of our sector.
