Vertilux continues developing innovative fabrics with a smart life cycle, in accordance with its commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment.
One of Vertilux latest developments is the Planet Collection, composed by a wide range of ecological fabrics designed to meet the main needs of the Contract market. The Cradle to Cradle™ Bronze certification is just one of the many benefits of this collection, as is European quality.
The Cradle to Cradle™ Bronze Certification is one of the strictest sustainability certifications that encourages innovation of products based on the circular economy, taking into account factors such as healthy composition, reuse of materials, use of water and energy in the manufacturing process, or social responsibility all of which Vertilux fulfills.
Vertilux Cradle to Cradle™ Certified fabrics: Planet FR (1% Of), EcoPlanet FR (3% Of), EcoPlanet FR SRC (3% Of) and Sea Planet FR (5% Of), help contribute to credits for sustainable buildings programs such as LEED, BREEAM, DGNB, HQE.
The Planet Collection fabrics are made from post-consumer recycled PET bottles which meet the same maximum quality requirements as those made from virgin raw materials. It also incorporates fabrics with a reflective aluminum layer placed towards the exterior in order to improve thermal performance and to avoid glare and reflection, making it a state-of-the-art product and the most effective solution for any project.
These fabrics use is intended for the manufacture of roller, panel and vertical blinds, complying with other recognized certifications such as NFPA, GREENGUARD® Gold and Oeko-Tex 100.
The life cycle analysis of Planet Fabrics is published at www.environdec.com
The thermal properties of these fabrics are listed on international software databases for the calculation of energy savings, including IDA ESBO, Edibatec, and BIM.
