Official Statement
R+T, born in Germany and with an over 50 years of history, is the world's leading trade fair for roller shutters, doors/gates and sun shading systems. Part of the R+T global series portfolio, R+T Asia is an important component of the R+T series. After 18 years of development, it has gained considerable scale and influence and has become an Asia Pacific leading event and a must attend annual international trade platform for the industry.
We are extremely grateful to the exhibitors, partners, and visitors who supported us during the COVID-19. After 3 years of halt, the country has finally reopened and the economic landscape is improving at fast speed. We also finally have the opportunity to bring a high-quality international industry event from July 26th to July 28th this year at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai, Hongqiao); exhibitors and visitors are eagerly anticipating this year's exhibition. At the same time, we also welcome our industry colleagues to visit Stuttgart, Germany in February next year to participate in the first global R+T exhibition after the COVID-19, as well as the R+T global series exhibitions held from September 14th to 16th, 2023 in Istanbul, Turkey, and from November 1st to 3rd in Orlando, United States.
We have always maintained an open attitude towards competition, and believe that the success of exhibition is based on the professional organization and high-quality services, the commercial value that exhibitions can bestow on exhibitors and visitors, the exhibition concept of promoting the industry development and progress upheld by the organizer. We also believe that a fair and benign competition, based on market principles and rules, can promote the development of the industry and enhance the overall professionalism and service quality of the industry. However, we have noticed that some entities in the market have recently used their organizational functions in the name of the so-called exhibition organizers, to force exhibitors to select which exhibition to participate at through unfair and unprofessional means. These actions completely violate the basic market rules and orders of a fair competition, and are prohibited by law, seriously infringe on the legitimate rights and interests of R+T and harm the basic rights and interests of participating enterprises.
After a thorough discussion and agreement among R+T global organizing committee, we have decided that we would take all necessary measures, including legal proceedings, to deal with the unfair competition, so as to safeguard our legitimate rights and interests.
